Job completed by Verhelst Aannemingen, part of the Verhelst Group, in 1 weekend! Friday night we started dismantling the bridge. By Saturday afternoon we were able to remove the large parts of the supporting structure from the water, followed by dredging the other debris that had fallen into the Leie. By 6 AM Monday morning, the waterway was completely clear for shipping again.
Equipment: CAT 374, Cat 349, Komatsu 490, Kobelco 350, and Cat 340 (long reach), plus a Volvo 380 from a pontoon.
