Recent, we carried out the assembly of two tower cranes for Hooyberghs Algemene Bouwonderneming, a part of B&R Bouwgroep, at their site De Koninck in Klein Berchem. This site is part of an ambitious urban development project that transforms the area around the historic city brewery De Koninck into an attractive, green residential environment with a focus on craftsmanship and experience.

A realization of

Efficient assembly in two days

The assembly of the tower cranes took place on two consecutive days and proceeded according to a tightly coordinated schedule. Due to the specific conditions on the site and the technical requirements of the project, each crane required a tailored approach.

Crane 1: Wolff 6031.12 on chassis

The first crane is a Wolff 6031.12, mounted on a chassis. This crane has a jib length of 40 meters and a hook height of 38.7 meters. In terms of lifting capacity, it can lift up to 12 tons, with a capacity of 5.8 tons at the tip of the jib.

Crane 2: 7032.12 with reinforced mast and TVR transition piece

The second crane is a Wolff 7032.12, a special case within this assembly due to the structural requirements of the building under construction. This crane was mounted on reinforced masts with a width of 1.5 meters, equipped with a TVR transition piece. This configuration allows for the elevator shaft to be built around the mast. Additionally, provisions have already been made in the mast itself to later clamp the crane into the elevator shaft, a measure that guarantees stability as construction progresses.

The crane has a jib length of 25 meters and a hook height of 32.6 meters. This crane has a lifting capacity of 12 tons along the entire length of the jib
