In the rear port of Zeebrugge, we are fully engaged in the dismantling of the former construction dock where the tunnel elements for the Oosterweel connection were made. A challenging project, with large volumes and a tight schedule.

A realization of

Thorough Demolition, Smart Reuse

For client Cotu, we are handling the complete pavements of the site. Specifically, we are demolishing the 15,000 m² concrete slab on which the concrete plant previously stood. In addition, we are tackling 18,000 m² of asphalt pavement and breaking up no less than 70,000 tons of foundation from mixed and concrete rubble. The entire concrete slab and all pavements must be removed by the Christmas break.

We don't stop at demolition alone. In the next step, the released material will be crushed on site and reused as a subfoundation for future projects. A no-nonsense approach, with respect for both material and environment: what we can recover, we give a second life on the site.

The entire demolition work will be completed in a span of just three weeks. A tight schedule that our team carries out with a lot of craftsmanship and teamwork. One team, one site, one clear objective: by the Christmas break, the site will be neatly emptied and technically ready for the next phase. The crushing works will start in January.
