In the dynamic world of earthworks, challenges come in many shapes and sizes. Our recent project in the back port of Zeebrugge is a perfect example of this.
The Challenge
The assignment was clear: raising a significant piece of land, constructing a relief structure for a gas pipeline, extensive sewer works, and creating an entry and exit lane on the Emmanuel Decloedtweg.
From the start, it was clear that this project required a combination of expertise, precise planning, and seamless execution. We relied on our teams and their extensive experience to address every aspect of the project.
Project in numbers:
- Site area: 5.5 ha
- Import soil: 260,000 m³
- Remove surcharge: 60,000 m³
- Soil mix wall: 800 lm
Conclusion
Despite the challenges we encountered along the way, we are proud of what we achieved during this work. We look forward to future collaborations with Port of Antwerp Bruges and other partners.
