In February 2022, we began the redevelopment of the ring road and Manitoba parking in Wenduine, a large-scale project commissioned by the Agency for Roads and Traffic, Aquafin, the municipality of De Haan, and Farys.
The project involved a complete renewal of the roadway and sewage system. With a work area of 44,819.03 m², the challenge was significant. In total, we laid 5.9 km of sewer pipes and installed 162 inspection chambers. Additionally, 10.1 km of linear elements, such as curbstones, edge strips, and slipform concrete, were placed.
One of the most complex parts of this project was working with different foundation techniques in combination with the many existing utility lines. The sewer work at the intersection of Langestraat and Ringlaan required special attention. Here, prefabricated structures of 42 and 52 tons were placed with extreme precision, requiring extensive planning and craftsmanship.
Thanks to the good cooperation with our partners, this project was successfully completed.
