Verhelst Aannemingen contributed to the beach replenishment works in De Haan for the main contractor Group De Cloedt. This maintenance replenishment is necessary to protect our beaches against storm surges that constantly reduce the buffer. These works proceeded as follows: a dredger was stationed offshore and discharged its sand via a pipeline onto the beach. Two excavators guided the pipeline to direct the sand to the correct region, after which Verhelst Aannemingen further guided the sand to the proper place to evenly and adequately elevate the beach. Using the GPS system in our leveling machine, we can accurately finish the beach to the predetermined height.
