At Top-Mix, we are proud to be part of an initiative focused on promoting biodiversity within Flemish extraction areas. These areas, often seen as barren landscapes, are actually rich ecosystems crucial for wild pollinators such as bees and butterflies. The unique characteristics of these areas, including varied terrain, nutrient-poor environments, and the absence of pesticides, make them ideal habitats.

The recently launched Green Deal aims to halt the declining populations of wild pollinators by improving their living conditions and expanding areas favorable for their survival. This ambitious project is being realized through the collaboration of various partners with expertise in nature conservation and the extraction sector, including TerraCosa and Balegro (Top-Mix).
By exchanging knowledge and experience and implementing concrete measures, we strive to improve the quality of the habitats for wild pollinators and enrich biodiversity in our work areas. These efforts are not only important for the pollinators themselves but also contribute to a healthier, more diverse natural environment in Flanders.
